豚丼Buta-don (Pork Bowl)

Obihiro is the origin place of Buta-don. Inspired by the sauce of Una-don (Teriyaki eel bowl), delicious Buta-don was first made and served at a reasonable price using pork that had been near at hand since the pioneer days. Parts of pork used, how it is grilled, and sauce vary by each restaurant. Do Buta-don hopping to find your favorite one.

ウニSea Urchin
網走で主に漁獲されるウニはエゾバフンウニという種で、鮮やかな身色とオホーツク海の旨味が凝縮された濃厚な味わいが特徴です。
The type of sea urchin mainly caught in Abashiri is the Ezo-bafun sea urchin, which is known for its vivid color and rich taste with umami of the Sea of Okhotsk.

ホタテScallop
網走のホタテは、貝の大きさに対し身がたっぷりと詰まっているのが特徴です。わさび醤油をつけて食べる刺身も美味ですが、貝ごと炭火にかけても格別!バターを乗せて焼くと、香りだけでビールが進みます。
Abashiri scallops are known for their large amount of meat compared to the size of the shell. Scallop sashimi (raw) with soy sauce and wasabi (Japanese horseradish) is of course delicious, but charcoal-grilled one with butter on the shellfish is also exceptional! The grilling smell will make you want to drink beer.
